Membership in the FPO is open to every Canadian citizen or landed immigrant, who is ordinarily resident in Ontario, who is sixteen (16) years of age or older, who is not a member of another Ontario provincial political party, and who supports the objectives of the FPO.

By paying the $10.00 Freedom Party of Ontario membership fee online, you indicate that you are applying for membership, and that you agree with the objectives of Freedom Party of Ontario. The objectives are:

(a) to encourage voters to vote for FPO candidates in provincial elections and by-elections;

(b) to influence government through the election of FPO members of the Ontario provincial Legislature, for the better protection in Ontario of every individual’s rights of life, liberty and property; and

(c) to build and support the FPO as an organization of people who will work toward the achievement of Objectives (a) and (b).

APPLY BY MAIL

Membership in the FPO is open to every Canadian citizen or landed immigrant, who is ordinarily resident in Ontario, who is sixteen (16) years of age or older, who is not a member of another Ontario provincial political party, and who supports the objectives of the FPO.

To apply for membership via mail, you must complete an Application for Membership (click here to download it). The completed form, together with a cheque made payable to "Freedom Party of Ontario" in the amount of $10.00 (Canadian), must then be submitted to Freedom Party of Ontario in any one of the following ways:

  1. by mailing or delivering it to: Freedom Party of Ontario, 240 Commissioners Road West, London, Ontario N6J 1Y1;

  2. by giving it to a member of the Executive Committee of the FPO Constituency Association in your electoral district; or

  3. by giving it to an FPO member to whom the Executive Committee of the FPO Constituency Association in your electoral district has delegated the responsibility of receiving membership applications and fees.



IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Membership will not be granted to persons who submit Applications for Membership that are not accompanied by cheque for $10.00 made payable to "Freedom Party of Ontario".


  • Cheques made payable to "Freedom Party of Ontario" that are not accompanied by a completed Application for Membership will be treated as contributions to Freedom Party of Ontario, and not as membership fees.



WHY BE A MEMBER?

Membership in the Freedom Party of Ontario ("FPO") is a prerequisite for participation in all votes and elections held within the FPO. Membership is also a prerequisite for the holding of any position or office within the FPO, including the Leadership, the Provincial Executive, the Provincial Council, the Presidents Associations, and Constituency Associations. Paull persons seeking the nomination of the FPO must be members of the party.

Members receive the party newsletter, Freedom Flyer, as well as FP News and Commentary, and Consent, a journal of ideas and opinions on individual freedom. Members are also invited to party dinners and other events.
